About Us
Browntown Farms was purchased on June 13, 1908 by my Great Grandfather Sandy Brown and his brother-in-law Collins Jackson. The original 348 acres was operated as a Southside Virginia tobacco and row crop farm. Located in Brunswick County, tobacco proved to be the primary cash crop and remained a part of the family’s heritage throughout the history of the farm.
Today, five generations later, Browntown Farms serves as a locally grown fresh produce source that provides healthy fruits and vegetables to all. We are dedicated to growing, creating farm to table relationships and promoting agriculture awareness.

Practices
We extend the concept of “know your farmer, know your food” to everyone who desires fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables. We believe that relationships are key and every household "ought" to have a farmer. Our farm takes pride in growing quality products and we are thankful for those who appreciate our daily work.
